Pezula offers amazing views over the Indian Ocean and the Knysna river estuary. The course is very challenging with undulating lies. Probably the most scenic holes are 13-15. Remember to take your camera along.

Dave & Kim Davy "found" Sandals as we had been looking for an overnight spot. We found what can only be called a "gem". A delightful place to stop & rest awhile, warm hospitality, clean & perfectly prepared rooms, excellant food (breakfast & dinner) & well chosen decor. Make Sandals a MUST when visiting this area. Thank you & God bless

Palmiet Valley Wine Estate sits in a majestic mountain setting at the foot of the Drakenstein range near Paarl and midway between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.
The Cape Dutch buildings dating back to 1692 set in beautiful gardens, but wait until you step inside one will find rooms filled with Victorian antique's.
I stayed two nights with my wife and on arrival we were up graded to a very large luxury bedroom. We used the candelit dining room on both nights for dinner and again everthing was perfect. Breakfast was taken outside and as sumptuous as everthing else. Good size pool to swim or just relax with a book under the oaks. We both found the staff very friendly. A great place indeed and only 45 minutes drive from Cape Town along the N1. Try it we did and loved our time, just chill and relax.

Went to the Western Cape for a bit of a break with the family. Chose Pontac due to the pictures. For once the website did not disappoint us. Rooms were fantastic and big and air-conditioned. We experienced a great meal at the restaurant and were really well looked after. We will remember to book for our next visit to the Western Cape.

This was a one night treat, after a disaster in Clanwilliam! Steenberg deserves all its 5 stars and more! We were met at the door and our luggage magically whisked away and our car parked. We were shown around the hotel and then a glass of bubbles appeared to help us unpack.
We were kindly upgraded. The room was spectacular, with its own patio with sunloungers, looking over the vineyards to Table Mountain. We spent a couple of hours by the pool and had a nice glass of Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc. Then we made use of all the room's facilities. The best of which was the open plan HUGE bathroom. There is a sliding door, if you want some privacy.
We ate in Christines - excellent food and good wine list. When we came back to the room, the bed had been torned down, bathroom cleaned and slippers put by our bed.
Breakfast is a sumtuous affair, with Steenberg's MCC too if you are feeling very decadent. A wonderful choice of fruits and yoghurts, cereals, breads, jams and a cooked option. I thoroughly recommend the blueberry pancakes.
Unfortunately we only had 1 night here. You can check in from 2pm, so make sure you get there early to enjoy the facilities. You also get a free wine tasting, and on hearing we had stayed in the hotel, we were treated to the special tasting - the pink bubbles were my favourite!
Not cheap, but cheaper than hotels on the Waterfront, and I cannot imagine you could get better service anywhere, with views to match. There are 2 restaurants on site and lots of restaurants close by, including those on other wineries in Constantia.
