ADDO PALACE “Ndebele Bush Lodge”
Recently opened, Addo Palace offers luxury accommodation on a spectacular and peaceful 2,500 acres private property bordering the Addo Elephant National Park. On arrival our guests are impressed by the magnificent colours of the African Ndebele painted thatch lodges, situated in a beautiful and natural area. Addo Palace has a total of ten luxurious rooms distributed amongst three magnificent buildings. Our interiors have been carefully decorated with high standard colonial antiques to create a perfect balance between the African bush and luxury.
We offer our clients a choice of accommodation only, bed and breakfast, full board or self-catering. We are located one hour from Port Elizabeth, and are close to the world-renowned Schotia and Shamwari Game Reserves. We can arrange all your excursions in the area, including Elephant Back Safaris, Private Plane Charters, (removed) Game Drives, (removed) Mountain Biking and much more.
Room Description:
Addo Palace rooms have been designed with the idea and feel of an African experience. The several rock (removed) walls and high thatch ceilings complimented by the large wooden beams allow for our guests to feel like they are in the lap of luxury. Our rooms all come with en-suite bathrooms. The green mountains surrounding the Lodge and magnificent rock cliffs and sounds of the passing Kromrivier River allows you to reset and get back to earth. The area boasts a rich presence of natural wildlife such as Zebra, Bushbuck, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Impala, Caracal, Bush pig etc. The mountains surround you whilst you submerge yourself in (removed) luxury and comfort allowing (removed) you to experience the unforgettable beauty of the area whilst still being able to enjoy the areas’ natural wonders and scenic pleasures.
Directions:
When leaving PE, travel on the N2 Highway towards Cradock. Approximately 75km from PE you will find the town (removed) Paterson on the right. Continue past Paterson in the Cradock direction for an additional 13.2km. You will find the Addo Palace (removed) sign on your left. A few metres after the sign is the Kromrivier government gravel road. Turn off to the left on the Kromrivier Road and travel for 14.5km. This gravel road has distance signs you can follow until you reach Addo Palace on the left.
We highly recommend this route as the route through Motherwell going past the Addo National Park Main Gate via the Zuurberg mountain pass is in very poor condition.
