Kwelanga Country Retreat
Situated 10 km outside George, embodying an African styled getaway within the Garden Route.
Kwelanga Country Retreat offers two types of freestanding luxury log cabins.
Single Bedroom Chalets:
The Single Chalets consist of:
■ a double bed with en-suite bathroom,
■a bar fridge,
■coffee/tea station, and
■a Television.
Maximum: 2 pax
Family Chalets: These cater for couples with children or travelling groups.
They consist of:
■a double bed in the master bedroom,
■two single beds in the second bedroom,
■bathroom with shower,
■kitchenette,
■separate lounge area with a sleeper couch, and
■a Television.
Maximum : 4 – 5 PAX
All our Chalets have their own private deck with stunning sea views. They are all fully air-conditioned; Linen and towels are supplied and chalets are serviced on a daily basis.
We also offer for the independent traveller a number of Camp Sites that can be used.
Not many restaurants along the Garden Route have such a captivating view as Ove’s Restaurant @ Kwelanga.
Just a stone’s throw from the Chalets, the restaurant has a large open deck area which overlooks Mossel Bay where Bartholomew Dias made his cautious landing in 1488.
Some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world can be seen from the deck. Guests enjoy sitting alongside a crackling bonfire sipping sundowners before dinner.
The restaurant caters for tour groups, functions, conferences, wedding ceremonies and receptions. Our resident chef offers a frequently changing menu of tastefully-prepared cuisine.
Our extensive wine includes some of the best wine the Cape Winelands has to offer.
Conference Facilities:
Rarely is it possible to combine effective modern conference facilities with such idyllic beauty as is the case at Kwelanga Country Retreat.
Our conference room provides seating for up to 60 delegates. The conference venue is fully air-conditioned and offers a white board, flip charts and overhead data projector.
Since Kwelanga Country Retreat also has a large covered barbeque area alongside the swimming pool it an ideal venue for any formal or informal get together.

We offer accomodation for up to 30 relatives & friends in our Chalets.
Our venue caters for 150 pax and our resident chef offers an amazing menu of tastefull-prepared cuisine.
