Oxford Cottage
A charming Victorian cottage, which has been beautifully restored and decorated. Oxford Cottage is situated in Wynberg in a quiet cul de sac, within walking distance of Chelsea village noted for its pretty thatched cottages and historic buildings. This bed and breakfast is the perfect place to base yourself and explore what the Western Cape has to offer.
At Oxford Cottage, we are 10 minutes drive from the Constantia vineyards, Kirstenbosch botanical gardens, scenic mountain walks and the oldest golf club in South Africa, the Royal Cape. The best beaches are only 20 minutes away, Llandudno, Camps Bay Clifton and Noordhoek. On the Indian Ocean side of the peninsula, also only 20 minutes away is the quaint fishing village of Kalk Bay and further south, Simonstown, the original naval base and Cape Point.
The cottage offers three spacious and comfortable double rooms, which are all en suite. One of the rooms has its own separate entrance and cooking facilities. All rooms have access to the swimming pool and have TV, wireless, fridge, tea tray, fan and heater.
The main house has two en-suite bedrooms called “Longmore” and “Morgenrood” located at the front of the house. These rooms are both fully equipped for a very comfortable stay. The third bedroom, “Maynard” has a separate entrance to the main house and has direct access to the pool.
Morgenrood
This en-suite bedroom is located at the front of the house looking out onto a veranda where breakfast is served or a quiet glass of wine is enjoyed in the summer months.
Longmore
This en-suite bedroom is located at the front of the house looking out onto a veranda where breakfast is served or a quiet glass of wine is enjoyed in the summer months.
Maynard
A delightful self-contained room, with its own private entrance and courtyard.

Location
We are conveniently situated in Wynberg, just 15 minutes away from the City Centre and the world renowned beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are a short distance away and Oxford Cottage is also very close to the well known Constantia Vineyards….
We are close to the Claremont CBD with its excellent shops and restaurants and within easy reach of Newlands cricket and rugby stadium. Kenilworth race course is close by as are all of Cape Town’s major schools.
For the Golf enthusiasts, the Western Cape is a wonderful destination – and that’s an understatement. 14 World class Golf courses are within very easy access of Oxford Cottage. Tee-off times can be booked in advance or an itinerary can be arranged, to ensure that your Golf holiday in the Cape is an unforgettable experience.
Oxford Cottage is also the ideal location from where to visit the best of the Cape Peninsula has to offer: the very lively City of Cape Town, V&A Waterfront, the Ferry to Robben Island, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and the famous white sandy beaches.
