14 Days Self-Drive South Africa with African Travel Solutions.

Day 1 – Arrival at Cape Town and collect the car on your own to the hotel. Time at leisure or you can start the accelerating day visiting the Table Mountain one of the news 7 wonders of nature, return to your hotel and accommodation.

Day 2 – This morning we recommend you have a day for the magnificent Cape Point & Peninsula.  You will travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at a Llandudno look-out point before continuing to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and beach you can jump in the boat trip to Seal Island. Before you continue your trip via Chapman’s Peak , one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. We can recommend you lunch late in your next stop on the historic Simon’s Town – a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also a new information Centre.  End the day with a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays and for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and then return to your hotel. Day 3 – Today we recommend a full day to the Cape Winelands. This is a delightful drive, which winds its way to the heart of the Cape Winelands through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. Head off to the wine country via the N2 to the heart of South Africa’s wine industry, Stellenbosch, boasting great beauty and culture that is steeped in South African history. With the sheer vastness of wine estates on offer, we are truly spoilt for choice when we enjoy our first wine tasting in some of the great cellars in the area. Travel over the Helshoogte Pass to the town of Franschhoek.  Billed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, this charming town, in a most picturesque valley, retains a French Huguenot style. The fabled culinary skills of the Franschhoek chefs at one of the many award winning restaurants for your lunch, all these experiences before heading back to Cape Town   City Lodge Hotel Water front BB

Day 4 – After Breakfast you will start the Garden Route taken the Route N1 to Worcester and from there take the R62  to Oudtshoorn  and then the Robertson Pass crossing the Auteniqua Mountains, and arrival to Mossel Bay.

Day 5 – After Breakfast you will drive on the N2 direction To Knysna arrival and accommodation  Hotel Knysna Log inn BB

Day 6 – After breakfast you will drive from Knysna to Tsitsikamma National Park. You can admire the beauty of the mouth of the Storm River, and the highest Bunji Jumping in the world arrive to your accommodation, in the Storm River Village (few Km after the entrance of the Tsitsikamma National Park) Tsitsikamma Village Inn BB

Day 7 – After Breakfast to will drive to Port Elizabeth arrive and time at leisure Hotel Brooke Hills BB

Day 8 – After Breakfast you will return your car in the airport of Port Elizabeth (Flight NOT include to Durban) arrival and collection of a new Car with unlimited Km/super cover insurance, You will drive along the cost of Kwa Zulu Natal and then you will arrive to the Sta. Lucia estuary we recommend to take a tour, after you will drive in direction to the mountains and arrive to your destination Ghost Mountain Inn BB

Day 09 – After Breakfast we recommend to you to visit the Hluhluwe Game reserve sanctuary of the South African Rhino. Ghost Mountain Inn BB

Day 10 – After Breakfast you will drive in direction to Hoedspruit and then to your destination accommodation and first Safari (we recommend to leave at 08.00 Hours from Ghost Mountain Inn as this drive trip is the longest)

Day 11 – You will enjoy the South African Hospitality, Safaris meals and time at leisure Kapama Game Reserve or similar FB

Day 12- After Breakfast, You will have your last Safari Early morning, return to the lodge Breakfast and then departure to Blyde River Canyon arrival and accommodation Blyde River lodge BB

Day 13 – After breakfast departure to Johannesburg crossing the incredible Panorama Route. Arrive to the airport area and accommodation rest of the day at leisure . Holiday Inn airport Hotel BB

Day 14 – After breakfast return the car and end of the services
