A ‘FESTIVE’ WORD FROM MICHAEL The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa
Dear Friends of The Twelve Apostles,
We have come to the end of 2014, and what a year it has been! As we approach the most exciting time of the year, we look forward to welcoming one and all to the Mother City, for what promises to be a most amazing festive season yet again.
For those visiting Cape Town on holiday, I strongly recommend pre-booking the restaurants you would like to dine at and the excursions you would like to enjoy, as well as car hire, if this is your preferred mode of transport, so as to avoid disappointment
2014 has provided us with some great accolades, including our Lilizela Tourism award for Investing in People, which recognised the tremendous hard work of Alex de Villiers in our Human Resource Department and the intensive annual training plan set out by her and her team.
However, none of the awards would be possible without the wonderful staff I have the privilege of working with every day. They truly believe in what the Red Carnation Hotel Collection stand for and testament to this are the large numbers of return guests we welcome back every day. They tell us they choose to come back not just for the beautiful hotel, the thoughtfully and individually decorated rooms or the very unique location, but more so, for the wonderful staff and their personal, attentive and genuinely warm and friendly service. I am proud to say our staff does go the extra mile in line with the motto, ‘No Request too Large and No Detail too Small’, exceeding all expectations.
With the festive holidays on our door step, we know it is exciting times for all, but spare a thought for those less fortunate. We participate in a year-round initiative called Pack for a Purpose“, which during this time of the year especially, helps to spread the joy of the festive season. If you’d like to contribute and make a difference, please consider packing some items to be gifted during your visit to our city. This special cause makes a tremendous difference in the lives of children and would be greatly appreciated.
We have so much to look forward to in the next few weeks! Executive Chef Christo Pretorius has created some mouth-watering menus for Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Lunch and for the big finale, our New Year’s Eve celebration, which promises to be spectacular.
With that all said and done, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, may this time be filled with lots of love and joy shared with family and friends and may 2015 bring you even more success and happiness. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa very soon. With warmest regards from the 12A team Michael Nel
