Dear Friends & Colleagues
Warm festive wishes from all of us at The Oyster Box! Looking back, the past 12 months have left me reeling… in a good way! From an overall hotel perspective, our most notable achievement in 2015, is the incredible collection of awards we have added to our trophy cupboard. In fact, in the last six months alone we have garnered a total of TWELVE local and international awards, recognising our incredible Staff, beautiful Facilities and magnificent Spa.
Massive thanks for these amazing honours, are entirely due to the support from our guests, members of the tourism and travel industry and of-course, our Staff, who are ‘the face’ of the hotel with visitors. In fact, two of our most prestigious awards, highlight the role our people play in our success. We were the national winners of the ‘Investors in People’ and ‘Best Visitor Experience / Lap of Luxury’ Lilizelas and we are particularly proud of these.
On the food and beverage front, the introduction of our fabulous new Oyster, Salmon & Sushi Bar has given the elegant Oyster Bar a whole new lease on life and is proving to be incredibly popular with guests. We’ve also added a superb Chef’s Table to our dining offering , which is a very special experience and the Ocean Terrace Menu has had a facelift… just in time for Summer… serving lighter meals to suit the warmer weather. So be sure to stop by sometime over the holidays.
Internally, we are undertaking a ‘softs’ upgrade in a number of our rooms, which we hope to have completed in the early part of the new year. For those of you who have not stayed at The Oyster Box before, make 2016 the year to try one of our amazing accommodation specials, which are great value for money and offer an experience to remember for ever.
Finally, at this time of the year, we stop to remember all those for whom the festive season, will not be filled with fun, friends and family. We are all too aware of how difficult life is for those less privileged than ourselves and we hope that as a result of our efforts throughout the year, we can make a small difference to their lives on a day to day basis and especially over the festive season.
