Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, located on 54,000 hecatres of Karoo in the Western Cape – near to Montague, is the perfect stop along Route 62 to see the Big 5 alongside the wonderful star gazing, fossils and African rock art – and not to miss the endangered Riverene Rabbit!

The boat is an aluminum hulled Ally-Gator 750 maxi, with folding canvas canopy, twin 50hp Honda outboard engines, and the full safety rating, including SAMSA registration. And of course there is a fully qualified skipper and life jackets on board.

We are delighted to add this super experience for our guests at Sanbona, the experience lasts from 1 to 2 hours depending on the sightings, we have spent many an hour watching Hippo, Elephant, Aquatic bird life such as: night herons, South African shelducks, Egyptian geese, Spur-wing geese, Fish eagles, grey herons and lapwings.
