CULTURAL ROOT ITINERARIES:

Omo Vallery: Arbaminch, Turmi, Karo, Mursi and Yabello
Day 1: Arrive Addis Ababa. Afternoon—city tour to Ethiopian National Museum in Merkato district and Entoto Mountain Park to enjoy lovely view of Addis Ababa and St. Mary’s Church museum; continue touring the city. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Morning drive to visit the crater lakes/the three Rift Valley lakes of Shala, Abyata and Langano. Overnight in Awassa.
Day 3: Drive to Arbaminch. See the Dorze people, who are famous for their particular weaving works and strange houses made of bamboo, wood and the cultivation false banana and sorghum. Overnight in Arbaminch hotel.
Day 4: Morning visit to the Netch Sar National Park with spectacular views of the lakes and wildlife, including zebra, Lesser Kudu, Hartebeest, indigenous swans and others. Drive back to Arbaminch for lunch. Afternoon boat excursion on Lake Chamo. Admire bird life, crocodiles and hippos (here the crocodiles—over six metres in length—are some of the longest in Africa). Dinner. Overnight in Arbaminch.
Day 5: Drive to Turmi via Konso. Visit the Konso people and see their particular culture and traditional way of life. They are famous for their terraced agriculture. Drive toward Woito to visit the Tsemay and Erbore peoples and villages. Overnight in Turmi camp.
Day 6: In morning visit the Hamer people and villages and possibly enjoy the Hamer traditional dance called Evangadi and more. If possible, we can look at the unique marriage ceremonies, with bull jumping and more.
Day 7: Drive to Omorate at the bank of Mom River to admire the Dssanech villages. Drive back to Turmi. Overnight in Turmi camp.
Day 8: In morning drive to Korcho. Visit Karo people and villages with good view over Omo Rive and Dusse village. Overnight in Murulle, camping at the bank of Omo River or nearby villages.
Day 9: Continue to the Mago National Park and camp at the bank of the Neri River admiring different animals, including antelopes and birds. Overnight camping.
Day 10: Continue to the Mursi people and villages. For beauty women put clay plates into their lips. Men have different scarification and other practices. Drive toward to Jinka Ari villages. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 11: Continue to Konso. Visit Benna and Tsemay people en route. If possible, visit colorful market. At Konso visit people and the old villages called Mechek.
Day 12: Drive to Borena people. In afternoon drive to Elsod Crater from where Borena men extract salt. Visit some of their villages. Overnight in Yabelo hotel or camp.
Day 13: Travel to Guji people and enjoy beautiful landscapes. Drive to the Rift Valley lake of Awasa. Overnight in Awassa.
Day 14: In early morning visit the fish market. Drive back to Addis Ababa. In afternoon tour Merkato, the biggest open market in Africa, and its souvenir shops. Dinner in traditional restaurant with traditional dance from different regions. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15: Transfer to the airport for departure. 15 days.

Surma People, Omo National Park & Omo Valley
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Day 2: Drive to Jimma. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Bebeka. Overnight in camp or lodge.
Day 4: Visit Dizi people. Overnight in camp.
Day 5: Visit Tulgit for Surma. Overnight in camp.
Day 6: Visit Kibish for Surma villages. Overnight in camp.
Day 7: Back to Tulgit. Overnight in camp.

Day 16: Excursion to Dasanech people at Omorate, bank of Omo iver. Overnight inTurmi.

A) Rate – Tour prices are available on request.
B) Accommodation: According to the preference of clients, we book rooms in hotels ranging from the luxurious, to fine first and tourist class hotels in major tourist areas, to simple rustic inns in remote areas, most with private baths.
C) Transportation:
We have a fleet of 4WD drive for tours to the countryside, coaster buses, minibuses and deluxe big buses for sightseeing tours in and around Addis Ababa.
D) Guides: English, French, Italian and German speaking guides are available. Other than these we will provide upon request.
E) Liabilities:
i. Brook Ethiopia Tours acts only as agent’s of passengers in all matters relating to accommodation and transportation. we shall not be liable for injury, flight schedule changes, delay, loss or damage arising from any cause and in any manner whatsoever.
ii. The laws of Ethiopia govern Brook Ethiopia Tours liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of Ethiopia in which the cause of action arises. all vehicles are comprehensively insured.
iii. Brook Ethiopia Tours reserves the right to employ subcontractors when ever necessary to carry out all or any part of the services agreed to be supplied and in any event of the exercise of such right the terms of clause
E) Payment:
Payment can be made through bank transfer, in cash or traveler cheque. Other methods of payment can be discussed in advance.
Cancellation:
Brook Ethiopia Tours & ATS will charge 50% of the tour cost for a cancellation made two weeks before the tour commences and for last minute cancellation of less than two weeks prior to tour commencement, there will not be any refund.
