What a combination! Add fine food and wines, breath taking views of the river and the Kruger Park and many, many visits from rhinos, elephants, hippos and antelope and, on the odd occasion, sitings of lion or leopard strolling or lazing on the banks across the river, and you have all the ingredients for a very memorable stay.
There is an “outdoor spa” on one of the decks where you can melt away the stresses of urban life with a massage or indulge in a relaxing and pampering manicure or pedicure.
Buhala Lodge is also a marvelous place from which to explore the magical bushveld and both Swaziland and Mozambique are only an hour’s drive away.
Elegant, comfortable, fully air-conditioned accommodation is offered in ten double rooms, each with a generous en suite bathroom.
There are three types of rooms to choose from, namely: the standard rooms which face the mountains; the balcony rooms which overlook the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park; and the deluxe elephant garden suites which share a splash pool. Each suite has its own private deck, indoor and outdoor shower and a bath in the bedroom. All the suites also overlook the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park.
