Dine In Style at the Mount Nelson Hotel!
Chef’s Table
Dine in Style at Cape Town’s Hottest Table
Conventional wisdom states that if you can’t take the heat it’s best to stay out of the kitchen, but chefs at Cape Town’s most iconic hotel think otherwise. In fact, Mount Nelson Hotel’s chefs encourage guests to indulge in some of the hotel’s finest cuisine in the heart of their kitchen. The Chef’s Table is a custom-designed interactive culinary encounter featuring exquisite cuisine paired with fine wines, discreet service and inspiring conversation.
The indulgence begins as guests are escorted to an oak table located in an alcove in the hotel kitchen, complete with an oversized mirror positioned on one of the walls to ensure that every guest has a fish-bowl view of the goings-on in the kitchen. The Chef’s Table is presided over by Mount Nelson Hotel’s Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg and his team, and a select brigade of waiters. Guests may choose to observe the preparation of specific dishes, and then as each sublime course is plated and served, the chefs are on hand to share recipes, anecdotes and the inspiration behind each dish.
The Chef’s Table is available for reservations seven days a week and caters for a minimum of six, and a maximum of ten people. Each Chef’s Table dinner is completely unique and menus are designed on the day according to Chef Rudi’s choice of fresh seasonal and local ingredients.
Price
An eight-course dinner is priced at ZAR550 per person or ZAR650 per person including wines carefully chosen by our sommelier Carl Habel. Valid until end of August 2011.
The perfect event to mark any special occasion – from corporate celebrations to birthdays, anniversaries and bachelor parties – the Chef’s Table menu may be customised and themed according to the group’s preferences, and a bespoke Chef’s Table dinner makes an ideal gift for serious foodies and those difficult to shop for friends.
