My partner and I stayed at Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge in June 2012. What an amazing experience! We felt like royalty throughout the entire stay. The tastefully decorated rooms (all completely private) overlooks a dam, and you can just sit for hours spotting game right from your porch. The meals were awesome. I can’t remember when last I had such tasty food. Our game ranger, JP, had superb knowledge of the bush and animals, and every game drive was a learning experience. Up close and personal to the animals!! During the stay, my partner proposed to me. Inge and Steve, the lodge managers, pre-arranged it with him and what a surprise!!
They took us to see the orphaned baby animals that they relocate, and after the whole tour a little meerkat came running with my ring tied around his neck. It was so special! Then we had a special private dinner in our rooms.
The staff went to so much trouble to make it a super special day. Thank you Inge, Steve, Lee-ann, JP and all the staff for making our stay so comfortable, exciting and memorable.
