New Management Structure at Ellerman House
Cape Town, South Africa – 26 March 2012 – Ellerman House, the iconic boutique hotel overlooking Bantry Bay in Cape Town, South Africa has announced two exciting developments within their operations team. General Manager Nick Dreyer has been named the Managing Director of Ellerman House while Ella Cuyler has been named the new General Manager.
Nick Dreyer has been with Ellerman House since 2003 and was integral in overseeing the construction of the villa and building the Ellerman Contemporary art gallery. As the Managing Director of Ellerman House, Nick will remain the primary trade contact for the hotel while acquiring additional responsibilities in the owner’s investment portfolio. His new role on the board of directors with Everard Read, the Johannesburg gallery synonymous with the finest art emanating from Southern Africa, will accompany his task managing Ellerman House’s distinguished art collection.
“I am very excited to take on these new challenges and happily hand over the operational running of Ellerman House to Ella. I am certain that the hotel will now set an even higher standard. I am still based at Ellerman House and look forward to working closely with our trade partners in the future” said Nick.
Ella Cuyler previously served as Hospitality Manager at Ellerman House for the past two years; her vast experience includes being a lodge manager at a number of camps in Botswana, South Africa, and Zambia, as well as the Seychelles. Warm, welcoming, and elegant, Ella said of her appointment: “I am proud to be part of the Ellerman House team and to be the one that has been appointed to lead the team, is an absolute honour for me. I do believe the position will present its challenges but I am ready and will go out of my way to make a success and make Ellerman House an even more elegant and happy place to visit.”
