Falson Safari Update
White Water Rafting is back!
After much deliberation and watching the water levels carefully, the “powers that be” has decided to open the rafting season on Sunday, 12 June 2011! Initially we will raft rapids #15 to #24, a 10km stretch. After a couple of weeks we should be able to once again offer full high water rafting! Book now at reservations@falconsafaris.com
A’Zambezi River Lodge
With their renovations finally complete, the lodge has been upgraded to a 4 star level and open to once again enthrall guests! Congratulation to them on a job well done and we are looking forward to booking our guests there.
Yellow Fever Vaccinations
The past week has had the industry in uproar and concern about the possible new yello fever requirements.
The Department of Health has issued a notification to SASTM to state of their INTENTION to bring in this ruling of Yellow Fever Vaccinations to/from these areas (Tanzania & Zambia). They have not set aside an implementation date so SASTM cannot tell us from when this will be valid nor is it a 100% confirmed ruling. They are advising their travel clinics to encourage all visitors travelling from 01 July onwards to have this certificate in case of sudden implementation by the Department.
We will keep a close eye on this one and let our tour operators know of this. So no need to panic for existing bookings.
