FANCOURT MONTAGU GOLF COURSE:
The Fancourt Montagu Golf Course is nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountain in the heart of The Garden Route, in George, renowned throughout the world for its immense natural beauty and world class setting. This is an 18-hole parkland course is delightful with top of the range conditioning and a setting that takes in mountains, water and interesting wildlife.
The Fancourt Montagu course took shape under Master Golfer – Gary Player. A major rejuvenation has recently been completed at the Montagu with several holes redesigned and two completely new holes – the 1st and the 9th. These changes have made the course an even more rewarding experience, around 350m longer and thus creating a greater challenge. Although the course will play tougher, a set of five tee boxes has been introduced so that each golfer can decide at what level of toughness to play. The Fancourt Montagu is considered one of the best conditioned golf courses in South Africa and has been ranked as the top course in South Africa a few times. Play is restricted to members, their guests and resort guests, so there is ample time and space to savour the Fancourt golfing experience.
FANCOURT OUTENIQUA GOLF COURSE:
The Fancourt Outeniqua Golf Course as part of South Africa’s premier golfing destination lies at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua Mountain in the heart of the world-famous Garden Route district. This beautifully manicured 18-hole parkland course is a course of rare distinction, similar to its sibling the Montagu course with top of the range conditioning and a setting that takes in mountains, water and wildlife.
This majestic 18-hole Parkland layout at Fancourt was designed by legendary Grand Slam golfer Gary Player. The Outeniqua course is similar to its sibling course The Montagu in terms of character, its challenging design and fine conditioning which will ensure an excellent test for all levels of golfers. As with all courses at Fancourt, there are a variety of tees from which to choose to play, ensuring that golfers are unlikely to ever feel overpowered by the course.
FACILITIES & AMENITIES AT MONTAGU AND OUTENIQUA:
The warm-up area, featuring a full-length range and a chipping and bunker practice area, is available to all golfers before play enabling one to be prepared for the challenge ahead. Golf carts are available for hire, weather permitting, while knowledgeable and experienced caddies (compulsory) are available too. Other golfing facilities include a well-stocked golf shops and a Golf Academy with full time teaching professionals and the only full-system Taylor Made Performance Laoratory Facility in Africa.

THE LINKS AT FANCOURT:
Fancourt owner Dr. Hasso Plattner, together with legendary master Gary Player, commissioned a golf course that is a thorough test for every golfer, but also ranks among the top courses in the world. When playing The Links, it is difficult to believe that one is not in Scotland or Ireland, until one noticed the imposing Outeniqua mountain range that rises impressively in the background.
Created from a previously flat piece of land, over 700 000 cubic meters of earth was moved in transforming The Links at Fancourt from an airstrip into a typical Links style course. The course presents undulating windswept terrain and dune-style landscape – The result being an awe-inspiring course eliciting praise from some of the world’s finest golfers.
Every hole has attention to detail ensuring overall balance in terms of length, position of hazards and shot values are in harmony. As a result, The Links presents a stern test in all weather conditions and bound to test the best golfer in every way. One of the extraordinary holes includes the par-3 second, with its bunker in the heart of the enormous green. The Links at Fancourt is a private club, with play restricted to members and their invited guests. There are limited times available to guests staying at Fancourt’s hotel making bookings essential.
THE GARDEN ROUTE:
Fancourt is situated in the middle of the Garden Route near the vibrant town of George. Other towns within easy reach include Plettenberg Bay; Knysna; The Wilderness; Mossell Bay. These town and the area generally offers a variety of activities, other than golf, including Game Viewing; Swimming; Walking; Boat Trips; etc
LODGE 611:
Our Lodge overlooks the first fairway of The Montague golf course and is well equipped and fully stocked with linen, crockery, kitchen utensils etc.
It comprises:
•Spacious living area.
•Outside patio with braai facility overlooking golf course.
•Outside seating and shady roll away sun blind.
•Fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave oven, electric cooker with oven etc.
•Utility room with washing machine and clothes dryer. Storage facility for golf equipment.
•Two en suite bedrooms with bath and separate shower (maximum 4 people)
•Separate toilet to each bedroom.

THE ACCOMMODATION PACKAGE:
