We’re jumping the gun a bit here, but next month on 01 May, Fern Hill Hotel is turning 25 years old. To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re hosting a special birthday party with live music, entertainment, and great food. Anyone is welcome to join us in celebrating this milestone, and you can read more about tickets and pricing in the newsletter below. Did you know that we now stock a range of craft beers at Fern Hill? We decided to “test the waters” insofar as craft beers are concerned, and ended up selling out of our stock within one weekend. We can’t say we blame you though; we’ve all become rather partial to the locally brewed beers on offer in the Midlands. Don’t forget that Easter is right around the corner, so if you want to join us for our special Easter Sunday carvery then you’re going to need to book soon! Easter Family Carvery Bookings now open – 05 April
We have opened bookings for this year’s Easter Sunday family carvery. This year the cost is R260 per person, and R160 for children between 5 and 11 years old. This will include arrival gifts, a photo booth, jumping castle for the children, live music, and a lavish carvery. Booking for this day is highly advised as places fill up fast. Fern Hill Hotel’s 25th Birthday – 01 May 2015
On Friday, 01 May, Fern Hill Hotel will be hosting a 25th birthday bash. The evening will include a full carvery dinner, live music by The Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters, MCing and entertainment by Stephen Cloete, arrival drinks by Pongracz & Amarula, photobooths, and goodie bags for all guests! Places are very limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Tables will be sold for up to a maximum of 10 guests, and tickets cost R350 per person. Thursday is Locals’ Night!
Every Thursday is Locals’ Night in the Sunset Bar at Fern Hill Hotel. We have two new barman (Shadrack and Senso) who are eager to welcome you to this new specials evening! You can expect R18 draught beers, R60 beer jugs, R15 glasses of wine and R20 cocktails. The chefs have a number of pub specials lined up on ribs, pizzas, snack baskets (back by popular demand!), and an amazing R70 for a 300g rump steak. What else is happening each Thursday? Live entertainment with the talented Tyrone!
Pensioners’ Specials!
All pensioners will receive a 10% discount off their total bill every lunchtime on Tuesday. What’s more, there is no service charge for pensioner tables of less than five people. Pensioners can also benefit from our highly reduced Sunday Carvery pensioners’ price of R135 per person.
Thursday Pizza special
Due to popular demand, we’ve revived our famous Thursday Pizza Special. Just R25 for a large Margherita pizza! There’s also an array of extra toppings to choose from that have been split into different pricing categories, so it’s easy to tailor-make a pizza to stretch your Rands a little further. What’s more, Windhoek beers are just R17 and a 500ml carafe of house wine is just R38! That means two people could each have a pizza and a glass of wine for less than R90! Booking is advised; please note that take-aways are charged at an additional R7 per pizza to cover the cost of take-away boxes. To make a booking call 033 330 5071.

Every Friday night we offer a special curry menu to all diners in our Snooty Fox restaurant. The special menu has been available for years and features a variety of curry dishes including traditional Indian curries, Thai curries and vegetarian curries. From now on, all diners will receive a free glass of red or white wine with every curry ordered. This is a new addition to the Friday Night Curry Evenings, and we hope you enjoy the added value!
