The hotel is gearing up for Christmas; as I type this our staff and students are busy unpacking festive decorations from storage rooms and boxes. By the time this reaches your inbox, Fern Hill will be in full-on Christmas mode!
We’ve already started taking bookings for the Christmas Day carvery and places are filling up fast. Furthermore, a number of companies have booked end-of-year functions with us, and we had some starting as early as mid October. There’s still time to book a function so read on for more details. Christmas Bookings Now Open
Bookings for the Fern Hill Christmas Day carvery are filling up fast and it looks like we’ll be sold out very soon. If you’re hoping to join us this year, then you’d best get hold of us as soon as possible. The cost per head is R350 for adults and R220 for children under eleven years.
Everyone will receive gifts and welcome drinks, hats, crackers, table decorations and more! There will be live entertainment and every type of roast imaginable. We also have a completely separate buffet area just for desserts, so if you want to leave your Christmas catering to somebody else, come and join us at Fern Hill for a fantastic afternoon with family and friends.

All pensioners will receive a 10% discount off their total bill every lunchtime on Tuesday. What’s more, there is no service charge for pensioner tables of less than five people
CRAZY Pizza Special – Every Thursday!
The newly developed Pizza menu is available from Thursdays to Saturdays at Fern Hill Hotel. In addition, every Thursday is Pizza Special Day, with a large (30cm) Margherita pizza for only R18! This offer is for eat-in only, and guests may choose to dine on the deck, in the restaurant or in the pub.
Friday Night Prawn Speciality Menu
Every Friday night, apart from the amazing music provided by Derrick and Jeff, you can enjoy an extensive prawn menu in the Snooty Fox restaurant. Our Restaurant Manageress and Executive Chef have designed the menu to appeal to a variety of tastes and budgets. We’ve brought in a new supplier for our prawns so you can dine on deliciously fresh queen prawns every Friday! Of course, the à la carte and pub menus are also available each Friday for those who would prefer.
Live music every Friday night
There’s live music every Friday night in the Snooty Fox at Fern Hill Hotel. The music creates an atmosphere second to none, so come and enjoy some relaxing, live entertainment with family and friends. Of course, the fact that the food we serve is amazing also helps! Come and sip some sundowners on our Deck and then join us for some amazing Prawn dishes and live entertainment every Friday night.
