On 25th November 2002, our company Kushiland Expeditions & Tour Safaris Ltd was registered under CAP 212 of United Republic of Tanzania with registration No. 44874.
Kushiland Expeditions & Tour Safaris Ltd, which is based at the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in town of Moshi, Tanzania was established with a sense of our community in mind and since then we have been leading tours and expeditions to the Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru, wildlife safaris in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Tarangire and Arusha National Parks. We are also experts of the Eco-tourism programs on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. We also organises beach holidays in Bagamoyo, Dar Es Salaam, Mafia, and Zanzibar – with our local communities in mind.
25th November 2012, we marked our 10th Anniversary of our business operations on the northern circuit in a responsible manner. We have involved our clients with our local community in participatory approach on various developments projects and empower them on their own local initiatives.
As we celebrate “A Decade of Responsible Tourism and Transforming Peoples’ Lives” I would like to extend our appreciations to our clients and business partners for their support; our staffs on various field grounds – porters, guides and drivers, managers and directors; village executive and community officers in various villages that we have worked with us over the years, and our entire communities at the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru at large.

ur special word of THANK YOU goes to Rosalind Duke, Alan Shiel of Ireland; Ingela Gänedahl of Sweden, – who supported Yam Makaa Ecumenical Group; Lars Äkerlund and Ingela both from Sweden who supported the Bio Gas Project at Ng’eresi and Eye Medicine at Mkuru villages; Tim and Nancy Barklage, Shannon McCollough and Joan Greene from USA, and Rosalind Duke from Ireland who supported the Tumaini Letu Tie & Dye Women Group.
As part of our continued support to our community and with our support from our clients, we’ll launch a two years environmental conservation program at Yam Makaa village – a program called “My Village – Yam Makaa” intending to plant over 10,000 indigenous trees with the participation of our local community.
With our charity walk campaign to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro – The Ultimate Challenge we intend to extend our support on formal and non formal education to the villages surrounds the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
