Machaba Camp
WOW! The camp looks stunning. It is amazing to watch something that you love grow, and Machaba has emerged into a beautiful 1950’s style classic camp. The long hours of planning, designing, and dreaming have finally born the most amazing fruit. As you can see from the above images, the camp is now complete. Please take some time when you have a moment to view the images on our website – they will not disappoint.
We are all very excited by the wonderful responses and enthusiasm you have all shown during this process, and we encourage you all to come and stay with us when next visiting Botswana to experience beautiful Machaba for yourselves.
Please also let me know if you will be attending Indaba so that we can set up an appointment, and I can go through all the finer details of the camp, the area and any other interests you might have in Botswana.
The wildlife viewing over the green season has been fantastic. While I was up at camp over New Year for a week, we managed to see all the major iconic species, including wild dog (daily) and leopard and cub (daily). The highlights been, the wild dog kills. Nature can be very harsh as the wild dog pups begin to hunt with their parents, the main prey species are the young impala lambs, which are in abundance this time of year. At one sighting we had a leopard with a kill, in a tree and not 400m away a pack of 9 wild dog feeding on an impala, along the Khwai River
We, the staff at Machaba Camp look forward to hosting you and your clients, in the coming months.
