February is the month for lovers … and the festival of love is on February 14, which is St Valentine’s Day. As always, Meikles Hotel will mark this special event with a series of romantic offerings that will ensure we have something for everyone on the night when love truly is in the air. This includes dinner in three venues – each with a different theme and ambience – as well as a special price for people who wish to spend the night in the five-star luxury of Meikles Hotel,home to romantic couples for nearly 100 years!
In the award-winning La Fontaine Grillroom, a five-course set menu is on offer at $50 per person, including the meal, welcome sparkling wine, chocolates and roses for the ladies
and the delightful dinner and dance music of Summer Breeze band.
On offer in Bagatelle – specially open for the occasion – will be a choice of a seven-course dinner or a seven-course dinner with paired wines for each course: the cost in this intimate venue is
$60 per person for the meal or $80 per person for the degustation menu that includes selected wines for each of the courses.
Entertainment in this venue is from well-known musician Tony Vas, who has a wonderful selection of romantic classics just right for the occasion. Sparkling wine on arrival and chocolates and roses for the ladies add to the pleasure of dining in Bagatelle on Valentine’s Day.
The Pavilion will also be open, hosting a special buffet meal at $35 per person, with entertainment by our DJ with a mood music selection, sparkling wine for all diners on arrival, chocolates and roses
for the ladies and a super meal at a very competitive rate.
The special rate for people wishing to stay overnight is $125 per couple, bed and breakfast. Dinner will be as indicated and guests should note they must book in one of the venues,
remembering that the dinner cost is additional to the room rate. Guests will also have a romantic turn-down gift when they get back from a memorable dinner in one of the hotel’s three venues.
