Newsletter Cheetah Paw Eco Lodge December 2015

Dear valued guests and business partners!

(Some of you know them already, this are (from left to right): Fikile, Mary, Robert and Delsie. Our Kitchen & cleaning ladies and our Garden Boy.)

We are almost at the end of 2015. This year went by so fast, don’t you think so. There aren’t enough days in 1 year and not enough hours in 1 day to spend time with each other and enjoy this beautiful surrounding that we are situated in. Our luck as management and staff from Cheetah Paw Eco Lodge is that we can enjoy that every day of the year. We wish we could accommodate all of you here at the lodge the whole year around to share this wonderful place with you. But we hope that you can enjoy it a little bit together with us by following us on Facebook , Google+ , Twitter and even Instagram (cheetah_paw_eco_lodge).

Over the past almost 1,5 years since Cheetah Paw Eco Lodge has opened we had guests from all over the world. From South Africans to Europeans, Americans, Canadians, Asians, Australians, New Zealanders etc. We were very blessed with wonderful guests from a lot of different nationalities that gave us wonderful memories. We have to say it is difficult to remember all the names, but when we see the pictures hanging in our bar area (the picture we took from all our guests before leaving us) all the wonderful memories are bubbling up in our mind again. There is nothing better for us than a lovely long dining table with lots of guests that are having a wonderful time, laughing and sharing all their experiences after a day in Kruger, along the Panorama Tour or a Game Drive. Bubba also enjoyed all the attention of our beloved guests.

This year with its drought is a challenge for our nature and animals. We didn’t have enough rain during the last raining season. Now before the raining season started again we saw the bush suffering a lot. As promised every year we did get rains from beginning November, but it was a bit too late for nature because of the lack of rain last year. There were no leafs left anymore and there was no nutritional grass left. A lot of animals had to suffer. Even our waterhole at the lodge totally dried out. Luckily at the moment we are having a little bit of water in the dam because of some rains that we had. Still a lot of rain to come though, well, we hope so.  Hopefully 2016 will be much better for the animals.

Thank you to all of you for making our year so wonderful and filled with memories. We wish all of you a wonderful Christmas time and a memorable 2016. We are definitely going to make a lot of new memories in 2016 and we hope you will be part of it again!
Warm regards from the team of Cheetah Paw Eco Lodge.
