Tucan Travel Ventures to Swaziland


Tucan Travel announced some fantastic new Africa tours which now travel to the Kingdom of Swaziland.  They have no less than 28 new tour combinations that visit Swaziland, ranging from 12-76 days in length and which are part of either their Overland Tours or Budget Expeditions (18-35s) range.

Big Game Parks on Rhino Re-Introduction in Swaziland


With #RhinoFriday gathering momentum on twitter, Swaziland’s Big Game Parks is taking the opportunity to remind everyone of the history of the country’s rhinos – it’s recent successes and what led to its position as one of the best protectors of this magnificent beast. Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary was officially opened to the public in 1964 and the following year became the recipient of Natal Parks Board’s Rhino distribution programme. White Rhino had reduced to about 40 animals in South Africa, and dedicated conservation efforts by NPB saw this population boom. It was decided that the best chance for survival was to spread viable populations wherever possible. White Rhino returned to Swaziland (Mlilwane) as early as 1965. Read more

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary Upgrades Facilities and Wins Award

Big Game Parks have upgraded the camping facilities at the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland. Yebo designs new colouring book for adults



Yebo Contemporary Art Gallery’s new colouring book for adults was launched in Swaziland on the 25th of September. For every fifteen books sold a copy will be donated to the NGO Yebo! ArtReach to distribute to hospitals in Southern Africa for patients to use in their recovery. The artist, Aleta Armstrong, grew up in Finland, Tanzania, Malta, Swaziland, Botswana and Denmark and settled in Swaziland 30 years ago. She designed the popular African Fantasy range in the early 90’s, designing intricate large posters that were for colouring in. There are six intricate designs featured in the book. Copies are available at Yebo Art gallery in Mantenga or at the Yebo shop at Swazi Candles Centre. Price is ZAR 150 each  Read more
