The Great Walk of Africa – 2016 Book with African Travel Solutions Ltd

Uncompromising Adventure Since 1978 – The Great Walk of Africa
IF IT’S AFRICAN BIG GAME YOU’RE INTERESTED IN WE’VE GOT IT COVERED, EITHER ON FOOT OR BY VEHICLE OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH…
This award-winning safari is a ten-day wild hike across Africa in it’s natural form.  The hiking is never rigorous, mainly flat, and our deluxe camps are simply idyllic.  Our food is fabulous and has been written about in Gourmet Traveller.
The Great Walk takes us across country roamed by one of Africa’s largest elephant populations (12,000), but there is so much more to it than this.  Our walking route follows the beautiful Tsavo River for four days, until it empties into the Galana River, which we follow for the final six days.  The spectacular Galana is fringed by palm trees and salt bush, and is the home of one of the biggest lion concentrations in East Africa. We honour the lions of the Galana River in this newsletter, all taken during the Great Walk.
The Great Walk is a “healthy” vacation:  morning exercise as we hike along the rivers; afternoon game drives which allows us to get close up to most of the African species of wildlife; fresh, healthy food; and relaxing, comfortable tented accommodations. The Great Walk of Africa is now recognised as one of the finest hikes in the world.  In 2012 it was named as the Trip Of The Year by Outside Magazine.
