Introduction:
Eastbury Cottage Self-catering and B&B is an established Guest House and peacefully nestles in the quiet, garden suburb of Eastcliff, in the heart of Hermanus, We offer 4 affordable, tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped units, all with private entrances. Situated between the Hermanus Golf Course and the village central business area, our position is very convenient for guests who may choose to amble to the quaint shops and restaurants or wander along the seafront cliff paths, take a dip in the marine tidal pool or discover the Old Harbour, Museums and other attractions which are a short stroll away. The Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Hemel en Aarde Wine Route and blue Flag Beaches are a 5 minute drive by car. We warmly welcome families, honeymooners, holiday makers and business guests. Breakfast is optional.
Accommodation:
Choose between the Loft and Garden Cottage, our family units which each sleep 2 – 4 persons or The Courtyard and Rose Room, our double units, which are all attractively decorated and are fully equipped for light self-catering. Three units offer king or twin bedded rooms while the Rose Room offers a brass queen size bed. All are highly recommended 3 star TGCSA graded rooms. Each unit has safe off-street parking and a private entrance, also an outdoor area and barbeque facilities. The Courtyard offers a wood burning fireplace to cozy up winter evenings.
Bedrooms have white linen and towels, electric blankets, wall heaters and fans. Kitchenettes are equipped with crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle, gas cooker, bar fridge and grill microwave. Hair dryers, safety boxes, flat screen TVs, Dvd players and table games, complimentary guest toiletries and a courtesy tray with coffee and tea are part of the luxuries and conveniences we offer our guests. A wifi/ internet connection is available at our reception area at no charge.
Breakfast:
Although our guests have all the facilities to self-cater for light meals or they may opt for our offer of a delicious healthy breakfast which can be served to their unit or outdoors on their patio. Guests may also choose a self-service breakfast packed into their fridge the evening before. For breakfast, we offer fresh fruit salad, cereals, muffins, yoghurt, fruit juice, jam preserves, toast, tea and coffee or hot chocolate.
Activities and Outdoor:
The quiet surroundings invite guests to relax in the comfort of their unit or take a stroll to the tidal marine pool and rejuvenate with a refreshing swim on hot summer days.
Browse the village shops or choose from the activities like hiking in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, watch whales along the fynbos skirted seafront cliff paths or be adventurous and abseil off the rocks at the Old Harbour or slip-line in the Hemel en Aarde Valley forest before tasting the world famous wines offered in this beautiful wine producing area. Great White shark cage viewing is just a 30 minute drive to Gansbaai. We will be happy to arrange your boat based whale watching trip from our New Harbour with our accredited permit holders.
