The ever-changing scenery of the Maluti Mountains has always been one of the distinguishing attractions in the charming town of Fouriesburg. The adaptability of the area was finally captured when an old sandstone house (106 years old to be precise) on the corner of Venter and De la Harpe streets was converted into the Sandstone Chameleon Guest House.
Sandstone Chameleon is where comfort meets luxury. Its thick sandstone walls and Oregon pine floors provide a homey atmosphere in which one can kick back and relax in front of a huge log fire. Imagine this, combined with a chic interior and landscape architecture and you have an idea of Sandstone Chameleon’s signature product. Like a chameleon, the staff is committed to creating an environment where every guest’s stay can be adapted to suit individual taste. We are also gay friendly.
The six charmingly decorated en-suite rooms are all equipped with a bath and shower, under-floor heating, electronic safe, fridge, mini bar, satellite TV, tea, coffee and excellent home-made rusks to be enjoyed on a private patio. A generous home-style breakfast is served in the dining room, or on the sunny verandah. During your stay, you are welcome to make use of their laundry service, secure undercover parking, and Internet access.
Guests are welcome to use the self-catering braai facility or, if preferred, make use of the top quality braai packs and side dishes that the guest house offers. The braai facility is a beautiful enclosed patio surrounded by fountains and an innovative modern garden.
