Cranberry Cottage is situated in the picturesque Eastern Free State, gateway to the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, in the bustling town of Ladybrand. Nestled on the foot of Platberg with a view of the majestic Malut Mountains. On the Maloti Drakenberg Route.

Set in a lovely Colonial-style retreat, Cranberry Cottage offers:

• Each room comes with crisp linen, sparkling bathrooms, and all the modern mod-cons you may need.
• The air-conditioned rooms all come with terrace and garden views, as well as a sofa and satellite TV.
• They also include a fridge, microwave, and tea-and-coffee-making facilities.
• The en-suite bathrooms come with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

Standard Rooms
Sleeps: 2 Number of Units: 8

Although smaller than our other rooms, our Standard Rooms are still fairly large. Each room has its own unique theme and charm.

• Annex House
• Blue & Vine room both have 2x 3/4 beds with a shower only.
• Cinnamon room also with 2x 3/4 beds with a shower and bath.
• Moya in the Africa House is also a sharing 2x 3/4 bedroom with both a shower & bath.
• Sun Room is a bigger standard room with a Queen bed and showers only option.
• Big Daddy 5, our smallest Standard room has a Queen bed with a small bathroom with a shower only.

Deluxe Rooms
Sleeps: 2 Number of Units: 4

Our Deluxe rooms are more spacious than most of our other rooms.
Also known as the White House Wine Rooms.

• Shiraz with its Super King XL bed has a shower only.
• Pinotage has a Queen bed in the bedroom and a separate lounge area. The bathroom has a shower and spa bath.
• Cab Sav has a Queen XL bed with an open-plan lounge area.
• The bathroom has a shower and bath with a separate toilet.
• Rose has a Queen XL bed with a shower only. However, the lounge has a fireplace for the cold winter evenings.

Luxury Rooms
Sleeps: 2 Number of Units: 10

Although not as spacious as our Deluxe Rooms these rooms are still bigger than most hotel rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated and there is a variety of bed and bathroom combinations to choose from.

• Windsor Room has a one-bedroom Queen bed with a separate lounge area with a fireplace. The bathroom has a bath with a built-in shower.
• The treehouse is upstairs with an open-plan Queen bed and lounge area.
• The bathroom has a bath & shower. However, this room is close to the restaurant & bar with a balcony overlooking the deck area.
• Mahogany has a Queen bed and shower-only option.
• The Big 6 have all Desks with Queen XL beds. Lion Leopard & Buffalo are all upstairs with showers only.
• The hippo has a Queen XL bed with an open-plan lounge area and a patio outside. The bathroom has a shower.
• Rhino has a Queen XL bed with a patio and separate bath and toilet. The bathroom has a bath and shower.

Luxury Family Rooms
Sleeps: 4 Number of Units: 2

Our two luxury family rooms can each accommodate 4 people in spacious luxury.

• Katse Room is a large open-plan family room divided with a large wardrobe.
• Katse has a Queen bed and 2x 3/4 beds.
• The lounge area has a fireplace ideal for cold winter nights and the bathroom has a bath and shower with a separate toilet.
• Big Daddy 4 is the ideal family sleepover! BD4 is a large open-plan unit with 2x Queen beds and a bunk bed for 2 children. This unit has a spacious bathroom with a shower and bath and has 2x toilets in the room.

High Floor Luxury Double Room

Our Budget Luxury rooms are bigger than most rooms in town and are decorated with a modern feeling.
The rooms are situated above the Restaurant and are only accessible by stairs. All rooms have a shower only and a balcony overlooking the garden or parking side.

• The bird rooms are all upstairs in the restaurant.
• The balconies make these rooms very attractive for smoking outside.
• Our most popular rooms for the budget traveler, however, if you need peace and quiet, this is not your option for the hallway can be noisy sometimes.

Deluxe Two Bedroom Apartments
Sleeps: 4 Number of Units: 2

Our spacious two-bedroom apartments are ideal for families or colleagues that want to share but want the privacy of separate bedrooms.

• These units also feature an indoor braai. There is one shared bathroom with a shower and bath.
• Semonkong Room have 2x 3/4 XL beds and a Queen XL bed. This room is downstairs.
• Oxbow Room has a Queen XL and a Super King XL bed. Oxbow is upstairs with a small balcony.

Deluxe One Bedroom Apartments
Sleeps: 2 Number of Units: 4

• Our one-bedroom apartment is equipped with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and Lounge area.
• All the rooms have a Queen XL bed in a separate bedroom.
• The bathroom has a shower and bath.
• Sani and Thaba Bosiu are upstairs with a small balcony overlooking the parking area.
• Malealea and Bokong are downstairs.

Honeymoon Suites
Sleeps: 2 Number of Units: 2

• Our romantic Honeymoon Suites all feature queen size beds, more space than most of our other rooms, and a spa bath.
• Don’t forget to inquire about our Romantic Specials, with or without a spa treatment.

Luxury Self Catering Rooms
Sleeps: 2-6 Number of Units: 6

Our self-catering units are the ideal option for a longer stay- the units are more spacious and the Lounge area adds for more comfort together with the kitchen options.

• Big Daddy 1 Self-Catering unit has an open-plan lounge and small kitchen. The room has a Queen Bed and a shower only. This unit has an outside braai area.
• Kerie Kierie have a large openplan kitchen & lounge room. The bedroom has a King bed and a shower only.
• Soetpatat has a Queen bed and a separate Lounge and a small kitchen. This unit has a shower & bath.
• Frederikie has a large open-plan kitchen & lounge. The bedroom has a Queen Bed and a shower & bath.

Standard Self Catering Rooms

• Our standard self-catering rooms offer equipped kitchens and sleep two guests in each unit.
• Lavender Room has an open-plan bedroom with Lounge and Kitchenette.
• The bedroom doors open on the duck pool.
• The bathroom is small with a shower-only option.

Studio Unit Self Catering 

• Our Studio unit is a Self Catering open plan room with a kitchen and bathroom.
• The Studio African House Rooms are all open-plan bedrooms with a kitchen.
• All these rooms have a Queen size bed.
• Pula has an open-plan bed & bathroom with an oval bath only. This is for close couples or single travelers, not for shy couples.
• Naledi has a bath & shower option.
• Nala has a shower only.
