The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 people with a King-size bed in the main bedroom and the second bedroom (which can be reconfigured into twin beds on request) and two single beds in the third bedroom.

General Conditions

  • To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract.
  • All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any canceled accommodation that cannot be re-let, including premature curtailment.
  • Accommodation will be automatically canceled if the deposit is not received by the due date. Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation or “nonarrival”.
  • CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING: The Terms and Conditions of this booking are deemed as being accepted on receipt of the deposit/credit card details. The refundable incidental deposit of (R2000) must be paid 7 days prior to your arrival. This deposit will be refunded providing the apartment, and the common property is found to be in good order within 7 days after your departure.

Activities and Attractions

Sea Lodge is within easy walking distance of the Umhlanga Village. There are numerous hotels in the immediate vicinity where children can enjoy ten-pin bowling, game arcades, etc. There are several family and upmarket restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment.

Sea Lodge is so ideally situated, one can virtually park your car at the beginning of your holiday and have no need to use it again for your entire stay. Sea Lodge is a five-minute drive from Gateway, (the largest shopping center in the Southern Hemisphere) twenty minutes drive from Durban, and the International Conference Centre (ICC).

King Shaka International Airport is a fifteen-minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks. There are several fine restaurants in the Umhlanga Village or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A private first-world hospital is a five minutes drive away by car. There are several world-class golf courses in the immediate vicinity. Ushaka Marine World is a 20-minute drive from Sea Lodge Umhlanga Rocks is the most sought-after holiday resort on the East Coast of South Africa whilst retaining its unique seaside village appeal.

Directions

  • From the N2 take the M41 off-ramp (EXIT 182: UMHLANGA / MOUNT EDGECOMBE / PHOENIX).
  • If you are traveling from the SOUTH / CITY, turn right (over the freeway) If you are traveling from the NORTH / KING SHAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, turn left at the off-ramp.
  • Continue for approx 1 km, passing Gateway Shopping Centre on your left.
  • After passing under the Millenium Bridge, take the M12 (UMHLANGA ROCKS DRIVE) off-ramp and continue north passing McDonald’s and Umhlanga Hospital on your left.
  • At the next traffic circle, continue down UMHLANGA ROCKS DRIVE heading towards the sea.
  • At the fifth set of traffic lights, turn left into LAGOON DRIVE.
  • Approximately 500m along this road you will see SEA LODGE on your right (28 LAGOON DRIVE) FROM THE M4: Take the UMHLANGA ROCKS turn-off.
  • If you are traveling from the SOUTH / CITY, turn right (over the freeway) At the third set of traffic lights, turn left into LAGOON DRIVE.
  • Approximately 500m along this road you will see SEA LODGE on your right (28 LAGOON DRIVE) If you are traveling from the NORTH, turn left.
  • At the second set of traffic lights, turn left into LAGOON DRIVE. Approximately 500m along this road you will see SEA LODGE on your right (28 LAGOON DRIVE).

Our staff members have been briefed about the nature and severity of COVID-19 and related viruses to ensure the safety of themselves and our guests. Clear signage or other forms of information are present to educate and inform guests about our health and safety protocols. We have adopted an in-house laundry protocol to ensure the efficient disinfecting of bedding, re-useable face masks, and garments.
