Agulhas Country Lodge
Experience the southern most tip of Africa, where the two oceans really meet. Built from natural stone, set against the hill, Agulhas Country Lodge has spectacular sea view from nearly every vantage point. Guests can enjoy hospitable service and exceptional cuisine with the emphasis on fresh seafood in the Country Lodge’s own restaurant. En suite bedrooms each have private balconies and sea views.
There are 8 en suite bedrooms with private balconies that overlook the sea. There are bedrooms with twin beds, double beds or queen size (extra length) beds.
All rooms have showers, some have baths as well and two have jacuzzi baths. A selection of teas and coffees is provided. An overnight laundry service is available. We are a family-run business and all children are welcome.

Activities:

L’Agulhas:
• Visit the Southernmost Tip of Africa where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. The Lighthouse which is close by, houses a very unique lighthouse museum.
• Hiking trail on the coast from the Lodge to the Lighthouse and Southernmost Tip of Africa and back (1.5 hours).
• Fynbos hiking trail: the Ghost Corner hiking trail is a circular route, starting at the Lodge (1.5 hours).
• Whale watching – June to December.
• Bird watching – (bird friendly establishment).
• 4 x 4 Landrover Beach safari through the Agulhas National Park. See rare birds, shells and archeological sites dating back 10 000 years. www.coastaltours.co.za
Struisbaai:
• Safe swimming at Struisbaai sandy beach (Indian Ocean) and fantastic kite surfing in the safe bay.
• Canoes, surfboards etc. available to rent in Struisbaai from Way Down Africa Adventures.
• Boat trips for fishing (also deep sea Game fishing) and sightseeing/sundowner cruises from the beautiful Struisbaai fishing harbour.
