Cheriton Guest House B & B
Cheriton Guest House offers cosy accommodation with warm, friendly service in a century old home overlooking False Bay and the historic naval town of Simon’s Town.
Set against the mountain in the quiet suburb of Seaforth, porcupine are frequent nocturnal visitors and guinea fowl roost in the surrounding trees. We are within easy walking distance of the penguins at Boulders, Seaforth Beach, restaurants and all the conveniences of the town.
Breakfast is full English with yoghurt, fresh fruit and a choice of cereals. In winter, we serve in the dining room with a roaring fire and in summer on the breakfast deck or balcony with stunning views of the mountain and sea. The deck has a telescope and binoculars for viewing whales, dolphins, kayaks, naval vessels plus all the other activities that take place in the bay.
The strong maritime theme throughout Cheriton is particularly noticeable in the ‘Just Nuisance’ pub. This honesty bar which is packed with naval artifacts is for the exclusive use of our guests. Attached to it is a room called the ‘snug’ which is stocked with various collections and board games for chilly winter evenings.
Internet facilities are available with WIFI hot spots in the house and some rooms.
We speak English, German, Dutch and Afrikaans. Children are welcome if they are able to swim as all rooms surround the pool.
