Etango Ranch Guest Farm is a 4,300 hectare working cattle ranch which forms part of the Namatanga Conservancy. Here you’ll enjoy Namibian hospitality and peace at its very
best, despite the fact that we are only 5 minutes’ drive from the Hosea Kutako International Airport. We are fortunate that airport noise does not affect our tranquil oasis in any
way, nor will it detract from the pleasure you’re sure to derive from your stay with us.
Consequently, you will hear every sound the lovebirds cheep when they welcome you, and your sleep will be undisturbed by anything other than our dawn chorus as the sun rises
on another bright Namibian day.
After you have woken and freshened up in your comfortable en-suite room, you can join the abundant birdlife for our ‘Birding Breakfast’ while you enjoy your sumptuous Namibian
breakfast on our terrace, or relax in the garden in the shade of the Camelthorn trees, while they busy themselves with everything birds need to do. This area, where mountains,
Kalahari sand and Central Highland eco-systems overlap, is well known as a birding ‘hotspot’.

Etango Ranch Guest Farm is situated just 5 minutes’ drive from Windhoek International Airport, making it an ideal start and finish point for international visitors visiting the country,
as well as transit passengers with a few hours to while away, or those with an early flight.
Although close to the airport, our working cattle Ranch is not disturbed by airport noise and remains a tranquil rural base for a short or long stay. It is run by two generations of the
Grellmann family, with the help of trained, friendly and competent staff.
With more than 30 years combined experience in tourism, the Grellmann family members are proud of their dedicated and personal service to their guests and they are delighted
to provide masses of information on where to go, what to do – and not to do – in Namibia and its diverse population – in fact anything to make their Guests’ visit more relaxed and enjoyable.

The Kraal Complex comprising Six Self-Contained Rondawels

The Rondawels (traditional African style round huts) are ideal for self-catering weekend equestrian visitors and mountain climbers/bikers.
They also serve as accommodation for our Educational Centre which offers residential courses to local students.
Etango Ranch Guest Farm has the following facilities available to Guests Lounge, Dining Room, cosy fully licensed Bar featuring reasonably priced South African wines.
o Reception Area with ISDN internet connection, telephone and fax.
o Airport Transfers – Etango is only 5 minutes from the airport. Leave your car there, we will do the rest!
o Car-Shelter: Ample, safe, under-cover car-parking facilities, may also be used for long-term parking.
o Educational Centre Lecture Room: A comfortable space seating 30 people – ideal for small conferences.
o Conference Services: We cater for small Conferences with up to 26 people in double rooms, and seating 30 people in the Lecture Hall. Overhead/media projector, screen,
flip charts, name tags, writing utensils and other materials are available. (This facility is only bookable in advance.)
Activities & Attractions
Our farm is home to 300 free-roaming SIMBRA cattle which may occasionally be seen if you wander the ranch or join us on one of our guided walks or drives.
Morning Scenic Drives
After a typical mouth watering Namibian breakfast, tantalize your adventure-buds as we explore the farm, through the foothills of the Bismarck Mountains, sharing
information about our farming operation, the fauna and flora. With luck we may spot the well-camouflaged Hartmann’s Zebra as well as resident Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest,
Springbok, Steenbok, Ostrich, Duiker, Warthog and other small animals.
Afternoon Scenic Drives with Sundowner
While savouring your sundowner in the vast bush-veld, watch the sun explode into magnificent colours to disappear below the horizon. The open fire beneath the stars
will welcome you back on your return.
Birding Breakfast
We invite all birding enthusiasts to enjoy breakfast surrounded by the sweet sound of the large flocks which have made our farm their home.
Nature Walks
Venture alone on foot, following our dedicated walking routes, or join our nature walk accompanied by our experienced guide who offers insight into the farming operations,
fauna and flora, as well as the opportunity of close encounters with our game species. (Guided Walks must be booked in advance.)
Farm Tour
Our guests can experience the world of a Namibian farmer – cattle ranching, vaccinations, tagging, fence repairs, water-supply maintenance, whatever is the work of the day.

Directions
Etango Ranch Guest Farm is located close to Windhoek International Airport (Hosea Kutako), just 1.5km from the main B6 tarred road from Windhoek to Gobabis.
From Windhoek and the west Take the B6 eastwards (42 km from Windhoek) following the signs for Windhoek International Airport. Continue 150 m beyond the airport junction,
then turn righttowards Etango Ranch Guest Farm.
From Gobabis and the east Take the B6 westwards (approximately 264 km from the Buitepos border post) following the signs for Windhoek International Airport. Just 150 m
before you get to the airport junction, turn left towards Etango Ranch Guest Farm. You will find the Etango Guest Farm complex approximately 1.5 km along the good gravel road.
Stopping over before or after a flight?
If you are staying at Etango en-route to or from the airport, we can arrange transfers for you so that you can deliver your hire car to the airport earlier than your flight
departure (or collect it from the airport later than your arrival) which may save you one or two days’ car-hire charges.
