Gordon’s Beach Lodge is a family run guesthouse.’ Wammy and Louise Ellenberger, along with their dedicated staff, strive to offer a highly personalised and professional service.’
The family ensure each guest is made to feel right at home, with all the luxuries of staying as a guest. “Tailor made” service is offered and no guest’s request is too large or small. Anything that can be done to make your stay more comfortable is accommodated.
Gordon’s Bay Beach Lodge is situated in the heart of Gordon’s Bay, one of South Africa’s leading travel destinations. Gordon’s Bay is a small, picturesque seaside village in the corner of False Bay nestled between the aqua blue ocean of False Bay and the stunning Helderberg & Hottentots Holland Mountains. The white sandy beach, called Bikini Beach, which is well known for its safe and protected swimming is within walking distance of the guesthouse. The beachfront is lined with restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, bookstores and curio shops. At the harbour, one can reserve boat trips or deep sea fishing charters.
Being only 40 minutes away from Cape Town, we offer the ideal stopover to or from the Garden Route, and the last retreat before you hit the buzzing Mother City. The world famous Stellenbosch wine route is only 20 minutes’ drive away which follows onto Franschhoek. Golf courses such as Erinvale and Arabella are also on your doorstep.
We offer the perfect holiday setting with 6 beautiful and individually designed bedrooms. The pool and entertainment area, as well as a fully equipped honesty bar, are for use at the guest’s leisure.’ Spend the evening enjoying a drink or cocktail at our bar or lazing on the grass or a deckchair alongside the plunge pool while looking out at the magnificent sea and mountain views. The bedrooms are airy and spacious with king beds (twin on request). Each room offers a fully stocked mini bar with various exciting delights, and a choice of good South African wines.
Air-conditioning is essential in the heat of the South African summer, and we have provided only the best.
The rooms have large comfortable chairs to relax in.
Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available, along with traditional homemade “rusks”.
Our large bathrooms have walk-in showers, two-seater baths, bidets, as well as superior linen and products for your luxury.
Each room has a hair dryer and safe, and we also offer a laundry service for your convenience.
We have a variety of TV channels for lazy afternoons after a long day at the beach.
A stone’s throw away from the beach you need not have a car when you stay with us during your visit to Gordon’s Bay. We have a delightful beach not even 80 paces from our doorstep. All the best restaurants in Gordon’s Bay are also within a short walk. In the morning, join us for breakfast in our dining room with magnificent ocean view, and enjoy our delicious selection of continental and choice of hot breakfast off our menu. ‘We offer ‘Quite simply the best’ and it is sure to satisfy you before departing on the rest of your journey!
We have a lovely “Honeymoon Special” throughout the year that includes breakfast, a bottle of sparkling wine or grape juice, chocolates or optional strawberries and cream (in season), and flowers in the rate. Our rates are seasonal, so it just depends for what time of the year you book what the rate will be. So if it is your wedding night, and you need to be close to the airport for your trip away, we are the ideal romantic place to spend your night. We guarantee a very romantic setting, with petals on the bed, and candles around the two-seater oval bath, luxurious bath & shower products, soft fluffy towels ‘just superb!
For extended accommodation stays (7nights and longer) we offer a 10%, please do not hesitate to enquire at reservation stage.
Rates are quoted per person per night, including VAT of 14% and a full continental and choice of hot breakfast off our breakfast menu.

Cancellation policy:
7 days prior to arrival, or in the event of a NO SHOW – full cancellation fee
7-14 days prior to arrival – 75% cancellation fee
14-21 days prior to arrival – 50% cancellation fee
21-28 days prior to arrival – 25% cancellation fee
From the day of confirming the reservation a 10% fee will be charged for any cancellation
A credit card number is required upon confirming a reservation, after which a 50% deposit will be taken. The balance is to be paid on departure of your stay.
