Accommodation

We offer a variety of individually decorated luxury rooms. All rooms are air conditioned and are fitted with Satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. Our rooms are spacious, very comfortable, private and serviced daily. Each room has its own bath, shower or both.

Families with children of all ages are welcome at La Loggia Bed and Breakfast. Our self-catering units are perfect for larger families or groups. We also have a baby sitting service available on request. These rooms include fully equipped kitchens, a spacious lounge and dining area combined, each with it’s own private entrance.

Activities

Relax and indulge in to our sparkling pool set in a wonderful tropical setting and enjoy the lovely sunshine of Umhlanga while reading the provided daily newspaper, magazines and books or listen to the array of local bird life. We provide beach and swimming towels as well as a small bar stocked with a variety soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, which is situated next to the pool area. Our tea/coffee corner is also available throughout the day. A barbecue area is open for those who feel the need for a good old South African “braai”. We also offer all the barbecue equipment required.

Local attractions include: The Natal Sharks Board, Surfing, Dolphin viewing, Diving, horse-riding, gyms, tennis courts, golf courses, Sugar Mill Casino, Gateway, a nature reserve, day tours safaris and much, much more!

We can arrange for trips to Hluhluwe Game Reserve, St. Lucia, Valley of a Thousand Hills, Durban City and many more.

Services

Whether you are on a business trip, on holiday or just staying over for the night, we cater for your needs. We offer laundry services, use of Internet, fax, phone and PC, beach equipment and much more at reasonable rates. On request, we can arrange transport and take care of your entertainment and sporting reservations.

Upon prior arrangement, small lunches, dinners and sandwiches can be prepared or delivery meals can be arranged. We also offer complimentary Car Wash daily.

We also offer discount vouchers to selected restaurants in Umhlanga and surrounds. (La Loggia Bed & Breakfast guests only)

La Loggia Bed & Breakfast is close to main beaches, 18 minutes from Umhlanga Ridge Business Centre. Gateway entertainment and shopping Centre, (2nd largest in the world and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere) with shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, Imax, climbing wall, skate park, wave pool, Funfair, Game Arcade and much more, just 3 minutes away.

Breakfast at La Loggia

At La Loggia Bed and Breakfast we like to satisfy both body and mind. That’s why we offer a Stunning Breakfast every morning from 07:00am to 09:30am weekdays and 07:30 to 09:30 weekends.

We can even arrange breakfast earlier on request! Our hearty breakfasts are served under our thatch-roofed deck and next to the pool area, where you can view the beautiful sunrise and relax to the sounds of the early morning birds. With soothing music in the background, breakfast is always in a very relaxed atmosphere. Our service is also quick, clean, efficient and friendly. We offer both a traditional hot breakfast from our menu and the classic cereal, yoghurt and fruits breakfast.

Breakfast

Weather permitting, an English / Continental breakfast is served daily between 07h00 to 09h30 next to the pool situated in a tropical garden. We also offer breakfast earlier if required. The menu includes fresh fruit, ground coffee, a variety of teas, juices and cereals, and the traditional bacon, eggs, toast, sausages etc and great service.

On the hot breakfast menu, we have a mouth-watering choice of:

• Omelettes with a range of fillings
• French toast with white or brown bread
• Eggs done in every way possible – poached, fried, boiled, scrambled etc.
• Bacon, as well as, Pork and Beef Sausages!
• On request we can basically make you breakfast how you want using the ingredients in our menu. Special requests are welcome and we put the utmost care and effort into our breakfast.

We also offer:

• Healthy muesli
• Toasted rice crispies
• Cornflakes
• Yoghurt
• A wide variety of fresh fruits and much more.

Drinks on offer include:

• Fresh tropical guava or orange juice.
• As well as the finest teas and fresh coffee.
