Lavender Cottage

Nestling under the Helderberg Mountain in the valley of the Lourensford River with magnificent views of the Hottentots Holland Mountain Range lies the Somerset West suburb of Morningside.  This suburb is close to the beaches of False Bay and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean as well as the Vineyards of  Helderberg and Stellenbosch  and the Whale Route to Hermanus. The area also boasts an excellent shopping mall plus a number of local historical sites, a nature reserve, an arts and craft market, numerous scenic drives, with the Stellenboch Wine Route right on the doorstep

Somerset West is a thirty minute drive to Cape Town should you wish to take in the City and the well known ‘V & A Waterfront’. We are also in close proximity to four magnificent golf courses including the world class  Erinvale Estate ( one minute away).

This spectacular setting in the Cape has every thing to offer the discerning visitor.

Somerset West, Stellenbosch as well as Gordons Bay offer numerous nearby  first class restaurants should you wish to dine out.

We offer a comfortable, spacious self catering cottage which can sleep 2, 4 or 5 persons as well as other double room units, all with separate en-suite facilities.  The self-catering unit includes its own private barbeque facility plus a private outside dining area, a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast counter, a large lounge complete with a tv, a main bedroom with a shower and toilet en-suite, a second bedroom, (all with single beds), plus an additional bathroom with a bath and toilet.

The cottage leads directly onto the pool area and secure parking is provided on site.

Breakfasts are available should you require such.

This ‘friendly’ value for money guest house is wife and husband managed and we offer to assist you to plan your stay-over enabling you to make your visit to the Cape a most pleasant, unique, memorable and enjoyable experience.
