Pezulu Tree House Game Lodge

Realize your childhood dream …and sleep and in a treehouse.

Pezulu Tree House Lodge is situated in a small private game reserve only 40 minutes from Orpen gate of Kruger National Park.

Pezulu offers accommodation in 8 unique treehouses and can accommodate a maximum of 25 guests.

Each tree house is different and has been designed to blend perfectly with the environment whilst maintaining an element of luxury. Each unit has a spacious balcony where you can view herds of animals passing below or view a giraffe eye to eye. Solid wooden walkways lead high into your private tree house. All our tree houses are en-suite with an outdoor shower overlooking the bush and/or a bath. They are supplied with running (hot) water, electricity, tea and coffee facilities, electronic safes, overhead fans, heaters and mosquito nets. They are far away from each other and hidden from view to ensure privacy. Pezulu has 3 family tree houses which are able to accommodate a family with up to 5 children. We can also put one or two beds in the parents’ bedroom for very young children who don’t want to sleep alone.

Children love our tree houses!

Besides the standard tree houses Pezulu has 3 very special tree houses which count amongst the most stunning tree houses in South Africa:
Our romantic, luxurious Dream Tree House is built on two Marula trees and consists of a very spacious main bedroom, a cosy lounge as well as a beautifully decorated bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. Furthermore a separate walkway leads to the fantastic twin outdoor shower. The four poster king-size bed is built on wheels, allowing guests to sleep either inside or outside on the balcony under a canopy of stars. From the large balcony you will enjoy the most amazing view over an African savannah as well as a waterhole.

The luxurious 7 metres high Mountain View Tree House is built in a majestic Jackalberry tree and consists of a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. Just around the corner you reach an outside bathroom with an outstanding outdoor shower surrounded by leaves and branches. From your balcony you have the most stunning panoramic view over the northern Drakensberg Mountains. Enjoy the romantic sunset from this amazing tree house.

Looking for a romantic honeymoon destination in South Africa? Our beautiful Honeymoon Tree House is built 5 meters high in a Huilboerboon tree on two levels. It is spacious with a king-size bed, a sitting area, a bathroom and a sunken bath with a view over the bush. The thatched main building of the lodge is entwined around a large Marula tree. It consists of a cosy lounge with pool table, a dining area, a reception with curio shop and a charming treetop bar.

Our traditional Big Five Game Drives take place in the bordering, famous Thornybush reserve. The rangers communicate by radio with each other about the actual sightings of lions, elephants, buffalos and buffalos and with a bit of luck even a leopard.
