Plettenberg Bay, famous for it’s sweeping white beaches and exceptional climate, is known as “The Jewel of The Garden Route”. With spectacular views of The Indian Ocean, towering mountains and indigenous forests, early Portuguese explorers called it “Bahia Formosa” (beautiful bay). It is here in Plett that nature and sport combine to offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy any of the many activities such as playing golf, lazing in the sun on the beach, hiking in the forests or along the beaches, visiting the wild life sanctuaries, whale and dolphin watching, etc. At night there are many very good restaurants to dine at.
