B = bed/breakfast     L = lunch         D = dinner        G = golf           S = safari

Day 1 Overnight Sun City                  (SDB)

Upon arrival at Johannesburg airport you will be met by an Around the Green representative and transferred directly to Sun City. After checking in you will have some free time to explore the property before being collected for an afternoon safari game drive at Pilanesburg Game Reserve. This will be your first encounter with the wildlife of the reserve where you may see, not only, the “Big 5” but a number of other animals. After dinner at one of the many restaurants your guide will treat you to an after dinner drink and run through the itinerary of the next few days.

Day 2 Overnight Sun City                  (BGB)

Your 1st round of golf is played at the Lost City golf course. The Lost City course is an 18-hole desert-style course with spectacular views across the bushveld. Unique to this 72 par course are the real crocodiles at the 13th, making this one of the most unusual golf resorts in the world, let alone in Africa. Gary Player has acknowledged it as one of his favourite courses. It provides spectacular views and due to the layout, carts are compulsory and included in your round.

Summers are generally very hot in this region and we recommend that you enjoy the afternoon around the pool, and this evening at your leisure.

Day 3 Overnight Sun City                  (BGB)

Round 2 is played at the Gary Player Country Club. Gary Player Golf Course at Sun City is often ranked the best golf course in South Africa. It is arguably the most famous course in the country, and is acknowledged as difficult and demanding. Since 1981 it has been the home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. This walking only course requires stamina and accuracy from players (we recommend you take a caddie). The comparatively flat nature of the golf course is misleading – water hazards, cunningly sited bunkers and pins hidden away on kidney shaped greens makes up for the lack of gradient.

Once again this afternoon and evening will be at your leisure. You may want to catch a show at their Barnyard theatre or try your luck in the casino after dinner.
