Makakatana Bay Lodge

Makakatana Bay Lodge is a luxury safari lodge situated on the western shores of Lake St Lucia within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

As the only privately owned and managed lodge in this pristine area, it offers guests an exclusive experience amidst diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, coastal dunes, and savannas.

The lodge provides a range of activities such as game drives, boat safaris, and beach excursions, allowing guests to explore the rich biodiversity of the park.

Luxury Suites:

• Five units, each sleeping two guests.
• Each suite includes an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor facilities, a private deck, air conditioning, a minibar, and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Family Suites:

• Two units, each sleeping up to four guests.
• Each suite comprises a main bedroom with a king-size bed and an interleading room with two three-quarter beds, sharing a spacious indoor bathroom that opens onto an outdoor bathroom with a bath and outside shower.

Honeymoon Suite:

• One unit, sleeping two guests.
• Features a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor facilities, and a private deck with views of the vlei.
