KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast, south of Durban, is often called the “Golf Coast”. This eight-day “Zulu Dawn” package covers six of the best South Coast golf courses.

The courses

Southbroom Golf Club

A much-loved coastal course with sea views, rolling fairways and dense indigenous bush. It’s widely regarded as one of the best on the coast.

San Lameer Country Club

Set within a nature estate, San Lameer winds through coastal forest and around lakes, and wildlife sightings are part of the experience.

Selborne Park

A beautifully kept estate course near Pennington, with tree-lined fairways and water features.

Wild Coast Sun Country Club

Just across the Umtamvuna River, this dramatic course features steep ravines and spectacular views.

Margate Country Club

A friendly, walkable course in the heart of the holiday town of Margate.

Port Shepstone Country Club

A traditional coastal layout overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Course availability changes from time to time. We confirm every tee time and can substitute equally good courses if needed.

Beyond the golf

  • Shark and ray diving on Aliwal Shoal or Protea Banks
  • The Oribi Gorge, with hiking, abseiling and the “Wild Gorge Swing”
  • The annual Sardine Run (around June and July), a spectacular marine event
  • Uncrowded beaches, tidal pools and fresh seafood

Why golf on the South Coast?

  • A warm, subtropical climate for year-round golf, especially pleasant in winter
  • Short drives between courses
  • Great value compared with the Western Cape
  • Easy access from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport
